Huntley’s coach was on with Riley recently. He’s excited. Talked a lot about how Huntley CAN run better but he’s a great thrower. Said in south FL, Huntley was a consistent top 3 passer statistically.
His SR year he threw 40 TD’s and 5 INT’s, if I remember correctly.

Look, reality is this: Troy wasn’t very good last year.
Look at PAC-12 stats:
Scoring offense: 8
Total Offense: 7
Passing yards: 9
Pass Efficiency (team): 10
3rd down conversion: 8
Ref Sone Offense: 11
Pass Avg/game: 6
Pass Efficiency: 8/10 eligible QB’s

I don’t think that’s an issue. You don’t want to play as a true freshman and then it would be Huntley-SR vs Tuttle-FR. Worst case scenario, Tuttle starts as a RS-Sophomore.
I don’t think it’s quite as big of a deal as we think/worry.

If Huntley is your “red zone” QB, then he might as well be your every down QB. The red zone is the toughest place to play football.
If Huntley gives you the best chance to score in the red zone, then it wouldn’t make any sense to not play him the rest of the field.

I believe this. I said back in spring that Huntley looks like a Troy Taylor QB. He can do everything Taylor wants him to do.
Also, Kyle has been dreaming of a running QB for years now.
Third, Kyle said that Troy barely beat out Huntley for the team captain spot.

I wonder if it’s a situation where Kalani said he could play this fall all summer long and now he can’t play and his family doesn’t know why when Kalani made promises.
Kalani was getting in trouble at Utah for doing that. Over promising recruits and then not backing those promises up when they came due.

I agree that Whitt won’t allow it, but why does the offense hurt the defense? I think we averaged 29.5 points per game last year.

He’s never liked Utah. I think he said it would take Utah 25 or 40 years to get competitive in the PAC-12. He always picks us to go 5-7.
