Sometimes we just need to get things off our chests…

I do feel rather badly for Isaac. Very much needed a red-shirt year to learn how to play at the higher level, (didn’t help his brother is in the NFL so there were very high expectations of him).

The experienced starters are making $500,000-$600,000 now, which surprised me. If you can have a few successful seasons, they’ll retread you over and over and you’ll end up playing for over ten years for half the teams in the league. lol. Same with the Head Coaches. The same ones just keep bouncing around the league.

Amen, brotha! Abundantly clear after what we’ve seen of the four QB’s that Isaac should’ve redshirted this year and been running scout team. Sly said it best in the post-game. “They did wrong by Isaac Wilson this year.” Which means they did wrong by the program as well.

The biggest problems with bringing in a HS coach in any capacity are their lack of recruiting acumen and they can’t bring their own coaches with them. And isn’t there still a rule that you can’t recruit from their school for 2 years?

Utah had a respectable showing in a ‘road’ game against Mississippi State. Other than St. Mary’s in the Hunty in a few weeks and a neutral court games (in South Dakota) against Iowa, really nothing at all challenging before the Big12 games start. I’m a BYU fan and totally agree with your assessment of the Utes and BYU basketball teams. I have been impressed by Utah.

BYU has been winning comfortably, however, we are a terrible free throw shooting team, and our defense is bad.

I’m okay with giving Whitt a prove it year but only on the condition that he overhauls his entire offensive staff. I wouldn’t commit to 3 years under any circumstances based on his proximity to retirement and downward trend of results

Crazy that the best Winnipeg could do for a QB was 36 year old Zach Collaros. Do CFL teams not pay much? If they don’t, moving to another country for football might not be worth the hassle.

Could argue looking at KW’s 14 year record in the P12/B12 era, 21-22 seasons are somewhat of an anomaly. KW’s overall P12/B12 conference record is 63-54 (minus Covid). What I was trying to say is that out of all the jobs available, Utah is a top 3, top 5 job. We would have a ton of coaches to choose from.

Hell, Kalen DeBoer may be available. I’d take him over Scalley. Hell, I’d take him over Whitt. DeBoer can make the playoffs.

We aren’t Michigan but we beat them. So I am not complaining about our run of the last 20 years.

I do think we may need to evolve soon.

I’d like to give Whitt the opportunity to demonstrate that this year was an aberration. If he cannot get bowl eligible next year, then this year was not an aberration.

Aloha, I truly respect your loyalty to Coach Whitt. My biggest issue with Whitt is that we had 6 games where we led or were within striking distance late into the 4th quarter. We lost ALL of these games. This is not acceptable in my book. This shows me that Whitt has lost this team and his ability to win games.
