Up until 3 months ago, I lived right up the street from Phil’s in Rancho Bernardo. It’s fine for San Diego, but comparatively speaking, it leaves me wanting a lot after having Texas, KC, STL, and overall southern BBQ

Yup, the reality is, the West (both the coast and mountains) are more apathetic to sports than other regions. I attribute it to having a lot more to do. People have more things to fill their time out west than they do in the South.

Complete over reaction. Our Starting QB, Starting RB were out the whole game. Our best WR was out the 2nd half. And we were playing one of the two best defense in the Pac-12. Amazing. This is Utah Football.

We should be loaded next year. Even before this season started, many of us viewed this year with optimism, but a nice to have. But next year being the no excuse year. We should win the Pac-12 next season and we should be in the conversation for the Playoff.

I just view it as an exhibition / pre-P12 CG warm-up. It’s a game we should win comfortably (though history suggests otherwise). I like having it at the end of the year. Our P-12 schedule is done, nothing to worry about this week. No stress.

But at some point I want to see a little of Whit’s fire directed at such craziness. It’s one thing if it is a one or two time thing, but Utah has been consistently screwed by it and I want our coach to show some fire about it.

I think you are mistaking that for the missed targeting call that should have been called on USC when Wazzu was driving down the field in their last drive. The actual Nebraska TV market may indeed be smaller, i.e. Omaha + Lincoln, but it’s absolutely not smaller nationally. People will watch Nebraska anyday over Utah primarily just because of the history. I’d say that the G5 can have no more than 1, maybe 2 losses. I also think that each P-5 conference should automatically be represented, but it doesn’t always need to be the CCG winner.
