What our opinions are or may be on the matter is entirely irrelevant to what people will perceive this to be. Utah already has a perception problem by virtue of its location and national perception. That is only further exacerbated by the events of this summer and now.

@mdute: Perhaps we would have won that championship 2 years ago if we had more talented WR’s. You remember the difference in the game was a freak pick 6 where our receiver tipped a pass and it was taken to the house by Washington. Perhaps that “elite” receiver doesn’t cause that turnover.

One interesting possibility is if we play two or more TEs a lot of the time, opposing Xs don’t know if Kuithe will line up next to the sideline or a tackle. Makes it tough for them to match changes in looks. Just trying to make lemonade here…

I watched the Oregon State clips during lunch today. Kuithe was wide open for three TDs and Bentley couldn’t make the throws. Kuithe was so frustrated he was yelling.

Yup, Nacua was the one who told his brother to go somewhere big time… How big a loss is it?

Double dipping here. I’m not sure it’s fair to say that Covey is taking targets from other receivers. Is Kuithe quick enough to be a wideout? His 100 time is really strong.

Could this steer Kaho or one of the other LBs to DE? We haven’t been getting to the QB. I know he’s 6’1″ but wondered if we might get a little more on the edge.
