I think UCLA will be a good team this year.  However, I still expect the top three teams will be Utah, USC, and Oregon.

I am going with a large group.  We have our flights, accommodations, rental cars, and game tickets.  I am pleased we are playing at 7:00 Eastern Time.  It should make the temperature bearable.

What a fun game.  Rising has some good zip on his throws.  Our tight ends dominated in Vegas.  It’s going to be hard to wait for September 3rd.

I heard a guy from SI on the radio today talking about the PAC12.  He ranks each team based on some kind of statistical algorithm. 
He said Utah ranks 10th on offense and 31st on defense nationally.  He said the defense ranking for Utah is lower than usual and could change as the new guys start getting experience.

I found 12 preseason polls.  Utah is ranked in all of them.  They are ranked as high as 4th in two different polls including the Athletic and the Pro Football Network.  They are ranked in the top 10 ten times.  The only two exceptions are 13th (CBS Sports) and 20th (College Football News).

Rising, Thomas, Daniels, Kuithe, and Kincaid on offense
Diabate, Fillinger, Gabe Reid, Phillips, and Bishop on defense
 

Gentry and Peasall entered the portal after spring ball.  It’s normal to lose non-starters this time of year, but for ASU to lose two more starters – I believe proves that ASU football is a dumpster fire.

This is just an opinion of one old guy based on what I have seen and heard.  
The main RB will be Tavion
Glover will get a lot of carries (I believe he is our future)
Bernard will be our third-down back.  He is the best receiver and pass blocker.

The offensive line is the key to our offensive success.  How is our offensive line shaping up this spring?  In your opinion, will the line be as good as we were late last season?
With Peppins gone, who do you think will start at slot?  Will we possibly change things up and put Kuithe there more than he already was?
 

Lloyd is projected to get picked 7th by the Giants.

I believe that this wouid make him the second-highest Ute picked in the draft.  Jordon Gross was picked 8th and Alex Smith was 1st.

Nice article on our safeties.  This looks like a strong point for our defense.  I think we will also be strong at LB, but we lack the experience we will have at safety.

PS – I think Bishop may be an All-American before he is done at Utah.

Nice article about our tight ends.  Maybe we will play 4 tight ends at a time this season. 🙂
A Plethora of Talent

Lloyd – Definite 1st round pick and possibly a top-ten pick.  A lot of NFL teams need linebackers.

He fills one of the spots I believe we needed to fill.
Now What?  What is the position we need most now from the portal?  For me it is WR.  I would also be pleased with another top offensive lineman.

He is ranked the 13th best pro-style QB in the country.  He is from Mississippi which I found interesting.  
Rivals

He ran a 4.4 forty today in the Pro camp.  I knew he was quick and had great moves, but I did not know that he was that fast.  I am beginning to believe he will get a chance in the NFL.  The Rose Bowl helped his chances IMO.

Starting today, Cam Rising now has a weekly radio show with Bill Riley.  His first show is on right now.  I loved the Covey interviews.  I look forward to Cam Rising.  I think we will learn more about Utah football from these interviews than from any interview with KW.
