Out coached in the 2nd half. As KW would say…we made them one dimensional. KWhitt struggles to effectively coach his teams to play as winners. The team culture is more comfortable playing as the hunters not the hunted.

Whit is a business man. He was playing Utah with the BYU job offer drama and the Tennessee hop scotch. Don’t kid yourself, KW wants to live in Utah and will play his hand to keep his job. It ain’t about winning, it’s about manipulating everybody to believe KW is bigger than Utah football so he keeps his job.

Agree…Whit also won early with UM’s recruits. Utah and NW are very similar teams with solid a defense. Both won some big games and have WTF losses and close losses to good teams. With all of the Utah coaching turnover and player injuries, edge goes to NW. NW is a solid team. I don’t see Utah scoring more than one TD and kicking 2-3 field goals.…[Read more]

Coach Whit and his staff do an amazing job developing players in most positions. I would argue key skill positions (WR and QB) Utah fits into the 10th-11th spot in terms of recruiting and developing talent. Unfortunately the 2-3 plays in a game that make a difference in the outcome quite often involve these position players.

UW DBs flat out owned the Utah receivers. If you have the game recorded, watch the receivers when possible. Same was the case at ASU. Utah needs to be able to respond when a good defensive team slows the run game.

Conference goes where USC goes. Utah needs to keep beating USC. Don’t be surprised if Utah is not ranked at the start of the 2019 season. I will not be surprised if USC, UW, and Oregon are ranked a head of Utah. WSU will not be ranked. Not crying foul…just is what is. Utah is in the Pitt, NorthWestern, Iowa State, bucket.

Agree. Bama will run and pass with ease. Bama controls the ball minimizes OU getting score producing offensive drives.

What does Utah deserve? Utes were a 9-4 team…same in conference record as Stanford and Oregon. Bowls don’t even know or care Utah beat Stanford or Oregon. Doubt any of the bowl dicks watched any of those games. Bottom line, watching the P12 Championship game was a complete viewwers dud. 7 points against UW in 8 quarters is not good bowl pageantry.

Agree…scoring one touchdown in 8 quarters against UW is not going to get it done. UW’s great defense is a cop out for Utah’s offense was not good the first and last game against UW.

Agree…man, give UW credit. All season long though most of the Ute receivers struggled to get separation on their routes. Not sure if it’s coaching, the route scheme or what. I am sure a combination of not very talented WRs and coaching. The dropped passes all season did not help.

Holliday needed to go last year. No question. There are only 3-4 legit D1 receivers on the roster. TEs are good.

Really? If you can’t get off the bench and off your phone than stay in the hotel room watching the Christmas Hallmark channel…Fox was eating it up on TV. They both looked beyond disengaged from the game.

Yup…this is the Utes Super bowl. Once in a lifetime experience. Enjoy it Ute fans = to 2004 and 2008, probably wont’t happen again for 10-20 years.
