no matter what happens if/when he applies for a medical, everyone got a free redshirt in 2020 so 5 to play 4 became 6/4.

247 shows Hubert as in the 2016 class but he took a mission so his clock wouldn’t have started until 2018. 2022 would be 5th year with 2 redshirt years so he should have 2023 with the possibility of a medical redshirt in 2024 if he wanted to pursue that.

I want to get excited, I really do. But with kids’ decommitting, transferring 5 minutes after they get on campus, transferring after Spring Ball.,, I almost feel like I need to go back to the days where I would just locate a media guide 10 minutes before the first game to see who was on the team that year.

Not sure why that would be surprising since the 1st team D struggles to stop mobile QB’s in games also

Are you guys referring to Singer? He and Cowing already have 1500 yards between them and the true freshman McMillan has another 500. DLine needs to get home because they are going to challenge the secondary all game.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Can we beat UA with the backup team that beat Wazzu if it comes to that? in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
Arizona has a horrendous defense so it would potentially make up for having so many backups out there. As said above, it will come down to how well the Utah defense plays no matter if Rising or Barnes is running he show

you have that backwards. From March to November, Arizona is the same as Los Angeles. The winter it is the same as Salt Lake

#4 Recruit in the 2021 class. Every school in the nation gave him at least a once over.
Played in the Rose Bowl as a true freshman and made a couple of plays.

I could completely see Pac-12 refs coming up with some rule that you only get 1/2 credit on the 2nd safety of the game.

Here’s a stat from last night: each team punted 4 times, Utah for 143 yards (35.8) and WSU for 193 (48.2).
When the teams were trading drives early and punting, Utah went from having WSU pinned deep to being pinned deep themselves over a couple of possession changes which led to WSU’s first TD. For years I said I’d gladly give up some special…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Who was RB3 last night? Also, does JQJ run too upright? in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
Vincent got some snaps on the first drive but I don’t remember seeing him after and Parks never got on the field so I would say they are 3/4.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic After last night's contests, Massey has our Utes at #14, 2nd in the Pac-12 in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
I also have Utah at 14 after last night’s game but 4th in conference due to the 2nd loss. Still, 4 Pac teams in the top 15 is quite a change over the last.,, decade(?). 2015 was a good year for Pac teams being rated but I think this year will end up better.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic My thoughts on the game in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
The fumbled handoff was 100% on Jackson. He saw run blitz and reached for the ball instead of letting Barnes put it in his belly. Otherwise Jackson had a much better game than I expected so I’m more than happy to write off one mistake to inexperience.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Might be the most gutsy win I have seen from our Utes in 60 years. in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
my thought also on Kincaid. hope he didn’t make it worse on the TD but I don’t expect to see him again before the bowl.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Report Card = A+ in the forum Football 2 years, 9 months ago
that a pretty bold statement considering none of us have seen Nate Johnson take a snap in a college game.
If you told me that Barnes would be QB1 for 2023 I’d set the floor at 7-5. He threw balls into tight windows, ran the ball effectively in the first half (not sure why he didn’t run much in the 2nd half unless it was a conscious decision by…[Read more]

What other grade you can give? Not the best preview for the 2023 Utah offense but it was more than enough to get the job done against a really good defense.
1st team All-Pac Tight End gone
1st team All-Pac Running back gone
1st team All-Pac QB gone
All that before the game started. Then add losing Kincaid. Pretty gutsy performance. -

trap game? I have a feeling the team isn’t so focused on Arizona that they have forgotten to get ready for this one

I said “more restrictive”. If it’s easier and cheaper to buy your alcohol 8 miles away, why wouldn’t you? Not really any different than the frats driving to Evanston in my day to load up on kegs for the weekend.
